26/11 Mumbai Terror Attack, says PM
Paying homage to victims of the 26/11 carnage on the eve of its first anniversary, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said here on Thursday that India “will not rest” till it has brought the perpetrators of the massacre to justice. Pakistan’s measures in this regard in the past 24 hours of formally charging seven suspects were good and welcome, he said at a press conference here, but he suggested that a lot more needs to be done, including dismantling the complete infrastructure of terror nurtured by Islamabad.
There was steely resolve in Prime Minister Singh’s voice as he prefaced his media interaction with a statement that left little doubt that New Delhi still regards Pakistan’s actions as cosmetic, timed with the anniversary of the carnage and possible meetings on the sidelines of the Commomwealth meeting in Trinidad where he heads to from here. He dismissed prospects of an engagement with Pakistan there, saying ”we cannot wish away Pakistan” and “when politicians meet they always talk,”
but it would not amount to much till Islamabad does more.
“We expect the masterminds of the attack and their supporters to be tried and punished. The infrastructure of
terrorism and all safe havens have to be dismantled, ” Singh said, in one of several comments that indicated there was no softening of India’s stand and New Delhi was still assessing the genuineness of Pakistani actions.
Singh also said he had been assured by the United States that its influence (on getting Pakistan to eliminate terrorism on its soil) will work. On a broader level, he said he heard no criticism during his U.S visit of India’s role in Afghanistan, and on the contrary, there was appreciation of India’s contribution there, a point that President Obama also made publicly.
Singh also dismissed Islamabad’s fears of war-talk from India, emphasising that it should take his word that India was for a strong, stable and peaceful Pakistan. “I have stated categorically that Pakistan has nothing to fear from India,” he said.
While the Pakistan question infected the interaction because of the somber overhang of 26/11, Prime Minister Singh also faced several questions on China to which he broadly said he came away assured that the United States was not handing over any supervisory role to Beijing in South Asia. “I am very satisfied with what President Obama had told me” in this regard, he said.
Overall, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with his visit to Washington, saying he was “leaving with a sense of confidence that my visit has deepened mutual understanding between India and the United States, and set new directions for our strategic partnership in a way that will advance our national interests.”

Faster your PC
Speed up ur PC
I will teach u how to use the L2 Cache memory
of your processor to boost performance of the same.
For beginning, lemme explain what is the L2 Cache.
The processor has 2 memories in it, called Cache L1 and Cache L2
(only large manufacturing machines as Mainframes and Xeon processors have L3 cache).
For people who use Windows as the operating system, Windows has a way that
when it is installed on the machine it leaves the memory cache in the state standard,
that is, using the maximum L1 Cache and L2 Cache is left to 0,
this is the standard mode.
To use the L2 Cache of your machine and leave it much faster, do the following:
Open the Start menu,
And click Run … and write regedit.exe
You enter the Registry editor of Windows, which is all records of Windows,
(best place to look for virus when infected).
With the Registry Editor is opened
Click on Edit and then Find …
In the window find, write SecondLevelDataCache
let it find itnow in the location of the SecondLevelDataCache you can see what the final number is in the right to 0 in parenthesis, therefore:
like this (0)
So, click the right mouse button in SecondLevelDataCache and click Modify
opening this new window, change the basis of Hexadecimal to Decimal and enter the
L2 Cache your machine has…….. Windows recognizes the number you write in KB, which is the Athlon XP have 512 of L2 Cache, then you just type 512 or 1024 depending on the size of the L2 cache after
editing the value of L2 Cache press F3 (shortcut to locate next)
Now it locates the other SecondLevelDataCache, Edit this too
and press F3 again and Edit the last SecondLevelDataCache…..
and ur done…ur system is much faster now!!!

Vinod Kambli in Bigg Boss 3
Vinod Kambli did not even last for two weeks in Bigg Boss and was evicted last weekend. The soft-spoken former cricketer did not contribute much to the endless bickering in the house, and had, in fact, got the least number of nominations from the houseguests.
He tells Rajul Hegde about his dream of playing cricket with his childhood friend Sachin Tendulkar and his desire to make a comeback.
You were such an entertainer on the cricket field. What went wrong in Bigg Boss?
I’m really surprised that I was evicted from the house. I don’t agree with the verdict; I feel the audience wanted to see more of me on the show.
I went on the show to get the Bigg Boss experience because I had watched the earlier seasons closely.
How was the experience?
Very challenging. You’re living 24/7 with unknown people under one roof, knowing that they are backbiting against you. But I have gone through this in real life too so these things didn’t affect me.
The housemates were trying to play games but Bigg Boss played a bigger game by bowling a googly (a video clip of the housemates plotting and backbiting was shown in the house). In fact, I was ready with the bat, helmet and pad and was waiting for someone to come forward and provoke me but nobody dared (smiles)
Why do you think you were evicted?
My wife was shocked because she didn’t expect me to be out so soon. It’s a game; anything can happen. I can’t believe that I’m out of the house too!
The reason given was that I was non-controversial, and that was not enough for the TRPs. But that’s the way I am. Two weeks were good enough for experience but I feel I should have given another chance. All the good contestants are getting evicted and the ones who are plotting against each other are still in there.
Why didn’t you play games in the house?
They have duel personalities; I don’t think they are like that in real life. Everyone was trying to play games. I cannot plot and backbite because it’s not me. I was waiting for them to provoke me but that didn’t happen because they were scared and careful when they spoke to me. They knew everything about me but they only asked me about my cricketing days.
Kamal Khan came in late. Had he been in the house before I got out, the scene would have been different (laughs).
Did you gel with everyone?
I gelled with almost everyone. I got along well with Vindoo even though he was the one plotting against us, which I learnt later.
I forgive them because it’s just a game. Who am I to punish them? I know people are not like this in real life. What surprised me was that Aditi nominated me. That was backstabbing because I know her very well and she had been very nice to me. Only she nominated me.
Do you think you were at a disadvantage because you entered the house after a few weeks?
I knew it was a big challenge to enter after a few weeks, and I accepted it. I didn’t fight with anyone but I was ready. If I had survived longer on the show, I would have definitely given everyone a piece of my mind. But if I was in their place, I would have reacted the same way.
What did you learn from the house?
I learnt to bitch (smiles).
Best moment in the house?
Bigg Boss sent a picture of Sachin Tendulkar and me when he completed 20 years in the game. The photograph was 15-16 years old and brought back the memories of my childhood. After coming out, I learnt that he had also completed 30,000 runs. I have retired from international cricket but I want say that I want to play one last time with Sachin. I want to play for the Indian Premier League for any team, but I would prefer to play with Sachin. I am going to start practicing very soon.
How was your interaction with Amitabh Bachchan?
He is my idol. Interacting with him was like talking to my father. I told him what I had been through in life. It was an emotional moment for me. When you talk to him, you tend to forget everything and start confessing.
Did you lose weight in the house?
Yes. I lost seven kilos because of my workouts and healthy food. My cake, eggs and kheer were stolen from the fridge the first week. On Vindoo’s father — Dara Singh’s — birthday, Bigg Boss sent a cake. I liked it so I kept it in the fridge. Nobody touched it (smiles).
